Barcelona Issue Stern Transfer Warning Over Lamine Yamal Amid Rival Interest

Barcelona have made it abundantly clear that teenage sensation Lamine Yamal is not for sale at any price, with sporting director Deco sending a strong message to rival clubs hoping to lure him away from Camp Nou.

Yamal’s Rising Stardom at Barcelona

At just 16 years old, Yamal has already cemented himself as one of Barcelona’s most important players, playing a key role in the team’s performances last season. His rapid rise has naturally attracted interest from Europe’s elite clubs, but Barcelona have no intention of letting him go.

PSG’s €250M Offer Rejected Without Discussion

Last summer, Paris Saint-Germain reportedly tabled a world-record €250 million bid for the teenager. However, Barcelona never even considered the offer, with presidential adviser Enric Masip confirming their stance months later.

Now, Deco has doubled down, insisting that Yamal is untouchable.

“There are key players, and he is one. There is no discussion, there is no price. There have been no offers because we didn’t even want to talk about it,” Deco told TV3.

He also emphasized that Yamal, along with Pedri and Gavi, is part of the club’s long-term project and will remain at Barcelona for many years.

New Contract & €1B Release Clause

Although Yamal’s current contract expires at the end of next season, Barcelona have already secured their future star. His release clause stands at a staggering €1 billion, deterring any potential suitors.

Moreover, reports suggest an agreement is in place for a new long-term deal until 2030, which Yamal himself confirmed last month, stating that the contract would be signed “soon”.

Barcelona’s Lesson From Neymar’s Exit

Barcelona’s strict stance on release clauses stems from the painful loss of Neymar in 2017, when PSG activated his €222 million clause, leaving the club scrambling for replacements. Since then, they have adopted a similar policy to Real Madrid, setting €1 billion clauses for their top talents.

With Yamal’s future secure and Barcelona unwilling to entertain any offers, rival clubs will have to accept that the young superstar is staying at Camp Nou for the foreseeable future.
